The Beatles - Taxman (Anthology Version)

The anthology version of the song “Taxman”. The most notable difference is that there’s a repeated and sped up background line which goes “anybody got a bit of money”. This is later replaced with “A-ha Mister Wilson” and “A-ha Mister Heath” in the final version of the song.

heyfrancis: The reason I’ve Just Seen a Face is my favorite Beatle song is because it’s so calm but fast at the same time. We almost never get songs like this these days, all we hear is swearing after swearing. The Beatles sang about love or peace or happiness and towards the end about the new world they have created within themselves with the help of LSD, but that’s another story. Their music was absolutely amazing. It was very raw and simple, no wonder they’re considered as legends today, which they are.
